As winter storms roar and crash on the shores here at Chesterman Beach, they deliver onto the beach a vast array of carrion (seals, salmon and other marine creatures) for eagles to feed on. Every day now I see the pair of eagles from the nest near Chesterman Beach enjoying good health as they feed on this banquet, replenishing the energy they spent during summer tending to their young.
