 We have stayed in the North Chesterman beach neighbourhood 6 times and this place is top of list. For people that are traveling to Tofino for the first time, in my option, the North Chesterman beach is superior to South Chesterman beach. The place is very close (1 min walk) to a public path to enter the beach. The house is lovely and spotless. The kitchen is very well stocked and I noticed that they had higher end kitchen items than most Airbnb’s, including Riedel wine glasses as an example. The place was very clean and cleaned to a higher standards than I have seen other Airbnb’s. The host lives on site and was very attentive to any questions we had. Easy 5 stars and highly recommend from us that have stay in a good number of rentals in the neighbourhood.

 We have stayed in the North Chesterman beach neighbourhood 6 times and this place is top of list. For people that are traveling to Tofino for the first time, in my option, the North Chesterman beach is superior to South Chesterman beach.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Vivienne was a great host. The Hummingbird was a very quick stroll to the beach… great for surfing, watching the sunset and long walks. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds super comfy. Outdoor shower was a bonus after a day surfing. Entire home was filled with thoughtful details and was very clean. Thank you Vivienne!

 We had a fantastic two-night stay at Hummingbird Cottage. Vivienne was a wonderful host—very responsive and proactive in letting us know she was available if we needed anything. The cottage comfortably accommodated our group of six, with three well-appointed bedrooms, including one with a beautiful balcony. The location was ideal, just a short 2–3 minute walk to the beach. We were lucky to have sunny weather, and the provided beach towels were a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.

The house is quiet and relaxing. The house was well appointed and had everything that we could ever need for our week stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have the blackout curtains in the bedroom. The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the house. We enjoyed our long strolls along the beach every day and at low tide we found tons of sea stars. One night we even went to the beach late at night and I have never seen so many stars in my life. I highly recommend this wonderful home.

 This is a beautiful, well-appointed and exceptionally well-kept cottage at Chesterman Beach, and located just steps away from the Pacific Ocean (literally a two-minute walk across the road). We had everything we needed for this visit which was the trees, birdsong, water, rest, relaxation, and excellent sleeps! It was perfect: We wished we could have stayed a wee bit longer. Next time!  Vivienne's cottage was exceedingly tranquil and restorative.  She has put a tremendous amount of thought into making this space restful.  She has fostered an environment that encouraged my family to connect with each other but there was also plenty of spaces for each of us to slip away to recharge on our own.  There was an exquisite collection of brand new books that reflected her desire to appeal to a variety of ages and interests.  The furniture and colour palette were both bright and relaxing.   We felt welcome and appreciated- she had left a note for us and there were simple instructions on appliances to help us quickly ease into the cottage.  We loved showering outside after our surf sessions. It was easy to get out for a bike ride into town or up to Pacific Rim National Park.  The gelato and surf rental shops were minutes away by bike/car.  It was very windy in Tofino however, the cottage is in the lee- it was pleasant to sit outside on her comfy chairs, upper deck or front porch

I found the cottage to be bright, airy and warm, spotlessly clean with thoughtful accessories, a well stocked kitchen and beautiful beds and linen. Vivienne as hostess was exceptionally thoughtful and helpful and I believe has inspired the calm and rejuvenating feel of this special place. The scenery and wildlife of Tofino and its surrounds was incredibly beautiful. The dawn and evening light on Chesterman beach was spectacular, as were the two eagles perched daily on the far pines surveying their kingdom. For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, connecting with nature, incredible views and who appreciates a myriad of arts, culture, history and wellness activities, you'll love Tofino and I would highly recommended staying at Humming Bird Cottage.

 Hummingbird Cottage provided a perfect stay close to Chesterman Beach and an easy drive to Tofino.  The cottage was perfect for three couples with large, well appointed, private bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen with everything one might need,  a comfortable living/dining room and lovely outdoor patios.  The location was quiet,  private, and well situated  with the beach just across the road and down a short, flat path.  There was ample parking beside the cottage for our two large vehicles. 
 Vivienne has thought of everything one might want for a stay of several days.  She provided excellent reference manuals to help one use the appliances, gain insights into the many tourist attractions in the Tofino area, clearly define "house rules" and check in-check out processes. 
 Vivienne's communication with us was exceedingly helpful, welcoming, and timely.   During our stay she was often available for questions when she walked her dog by the Cottage.
 We definitely recommend this Air BnB.

 Hummingbird Cottage provided a perfect stay close to Chesterman Beach and an easy drive to Tofino.  The cottage was perfect for three couples with large, well appointed, private bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen with everything one might need,  a comfortable living/dining room and lovely outdoor patios.  The location was quiet,  private, and well situated  with the beach just across the road and down a short, flat path.  There was ample parking beside the cottage for our two large vehicles. 
 Vivienne has thought of everything one might want for a stay of several days.  She provided excellent reference manuals to help one use the appliances, gain insights into the many tourist attractions in the Tofino area, clearly define "house rules" and check in-check out processes. 
 Vivienne's communication with us was exceedingly helpful, welcoming, and timely.   During our stay she was often available for questions when she walked her dog by the Cottage.
 We definitely recommend this Air BnB.

 Our family stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage and had an amazing time! The cottage is in the perfect location. It's surrounded by lush green trees and is very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The beach is right across the street, it's a short walk to the coffee shop and a short drive into Tofino. The cottage is extremely clean and has everything you could ask for, including a well organized and stocked kitchen. The host, Vivienne, is very responsive and a pleasure to work with.  Our family stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage and had an amazing time! The cottage is in the perfect location. It's surrounded by lush green trees and is very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The beach is right across the street, it's a short walk to the coffee shop and a short drive into Tofino. We ate great food at Big Daddy’s Fish Fry, Jigggers, Gary’s Kitchen, Toki Doki, Topinog, Chocolate Tofino, and seafood from Ukee Seafood and Neptune Seafood. Tofino Hummingbird Cottage has been a wonderful place for us old friends to play, eat and celebrate birthdays. We love how light and bright the cottage is. Never had such a well appointed kitchen – with maple syrup! And rubber gloves! The proximity to Chesterman Beach is ideal. he on-demand hot water served three showers at once after we returned from boogie boarding. When we needed heat the fireplace warmed the living room effectively. The care that has been taken to provide good quality furnishings, crockery, etc. creates an extremely comfortable ambience.

I stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage this summer and the entire experience was four days of bliss. Vivienne has looked after everything to help her guests relax, from the silk organic sheets to the comfy, stylish furnishings to the sotting quality of the lighting in the cottage. The cottage is simply gorgeous and feel so serene and comforting. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning and strolling with my coffee just across the road to that incredible expanse of Chesterman Beach. So beautiful! The cottage kitchen was a dream, and we would have been tempted to stay in and cook each night, but we did visit a few wonderful local restaurants, including Wolf in the Fog, just a short drive away. When I come back to Tofino (and I definitely will!) I will thank my lucky stars if Tofino Hummingbird Cottage is available because this was the retreat I needed. There’s just something special about it.

On our whale watching tour we saw jellyfish, seals, rafts of otters, a bald eagle, grey whales AND we saw three orcas attack a grey whale right in front of our boat!! Our boat captain, who has been doing this for 38 years, said he has only every witnessed an attack once, wow! We also had tacos at Tacofino, coffee from
Rhino and Tofitian, watched the national prosurfing competition, walked along the beach went hiking on the trails and went to the botanical gardens. So much more to see and do, just out of time. Until next time, take care.
